Ian Drury is currently a Venture Partner with OCA Ventures and CTO of Ocient, an OCA portfolio company. Ian joined OCA Ventures as a General Partner in 2013 and was Chief Operating Officer starting in 2018, prior to taking the role as CTO of Ocient in 2022.
Prior to joining OCA Ventures, his leadership experience included Chief Information Officer for TransUnion’s US business, Chief Information Officer of a $500M insurance company, President of a subsidiary of InterActiveCorp, co-founder and President of BigEdge/MVP.com (an OCA Ventures portfolio company) and partnership positions at Accenture and Diamond Management; Technology Consultants.
Ian has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign, where he was a two-time varsity letter winner in wrestling. His interests include BBQ smoking, golfing, fishing, snowboarding and wines. Ian has been a supporter and fundraiser for Beat The Streets Chicago (https://www.btschicago.org/), a nonprofit that empowers Chicago youth through wrestling. Beat The Streets Chicago combines year-round wrestling programs with customized enrichment opportunities so that children can become their best selves. The program includes mentoring, tutoring, workshops and positive relationships combined with the unique power of wrestling to change lives.
