The members of the OCA Ventures team have a passion for building early-stage companies into market leaders, have long histories working with one another, and share common core personal and professional beliefs, while at the same time contributing different skills and perspectives.
This cohesive group has close business and personal relationships dating back more than 25 years. John Dugan, Peter Ianello and Marc Berman were partners in the 1980s when they led O’Connor & Associates. Jim Dugan is John Dugan’s third son, Jason Heltzer joined the team in 2001, Joe Dwyer joined in 2009, David Zyer joined in 2009 and Gabe Greenbaum joined in 2011.
Mickey Carusillo -
Mickey is a Manager Member of CSS, LLC, a proprietary trading firm and CBOE Member Firm, established in
1998. Prior to this, he was a managing director and business head of US Equities for SBC Capital Markets, Inc., the
broker-dealer subsidiary of Swiss Bank Corporation. Previously, Mickey was a General Partner of O’Connor &
Associates where his responsibilities included central risk management of equities and index trading. He joined O’
Connor & Associates in 1978 as a trader after graduating from Northern Illinois University. During his career at O’
Connor he also managed bond and equity options trading and was instrumental in developing the firm’s equity index
operation.
